For over a decade, I watched capable students be misunderstood and lose confidence after struggling with reading.

I became a special educator to prove that every child can read when taught in a way that matches how their brain learns.


As a reading specialist in training, when I learned about structured literacy and the science of reading, everything shifted. I finally had the tools to help previously overlooked students. I witnessed "hopeless cases" turn into confident readers and saw middle schoolers choose to read for the first time.

My Qualifications 


 Education:

  • Master of Education (M.Ed.)+45
  • Certified Special Education Teacher
  • Reading Specialist Certification (In Progress - Completing June 2026)

Specialized Training:

  • LETRS (Language Essentials for Teachers of Reading and Spelling)

Experience:

  • 10+ Years in Education
  • Specializes in Middle School Literacy Intervention
  • Creator of 23 Age-Appropriate Decodable Readers for Older Students
  • Expertise in IEP Development & Implementation
